Automatic door opener - device type, selection, installation

Nobody likes to slam the door, but it must be closed tightly to prevent heat from leaving the room. For a silent process, an automatic door opener is installed.

Such designs replace the installation of door springs, which when closing the doors generate a lot of noise. Types of devices, their characteristics and installation methods.

Device and operating principle of automatic door openers.

Nearest device
The main work element of any closer is a high-strength spring that enters the door cylinder into the closer. When you open the door, it compresses, accumulates energy, and when released, the door returns to its initial closed state.

For a smooth closing of the opening in the automatic door opener there is an oil damper. The built-in valve system facilitates the flow of oil when doors are opened from one chamber to another and when they close.

With its help, the speed of movement of the oil and, therefore, the closing speed of the doors is regulated. The necessary smoothness of the process gives the viscosity of the damping fluid, which contributes to the silent closing of the door.

The automati door opener design may have one or more dampers, which does not change the essence of the device. The working spring in different products is driven by its mechanism, which determines the type of closure.

Depending on the design when installing the door breeders can solve several problems:

Adjust the closing speed in two ranges, with acceleration when the doors are closed.
Protect the canvas so as not to hit the obstacle.

Secure the doors after opening them.

Types of devices

The types of automatic door openers are classified by location, which can be:

Above. Installed on top of the door leaf. Different unit type:

1.Crank, in the design used coil spring and hydraulic piston, which are located in separate compartments. These are fairly simple devices that do not have the ability to control the movement of the door or other changes. On demand for heavy doors;

2. Notched This is the most common design, which consists of a gear that meshes with the piston and moves it along the axis when the door is started. When it opens, the nearest door moves in an arc. The part of the lever, screwed to the body of the device, is located perpendicular to the gear, whose axis moves vertically through the body of the door. The teeth of the gears are engaged with the teeth of the piston. Moving along the axis, the gear moves the piston horizontally, holding the spring. Energy accumulates in the same way. When closing the door the spring relaxes, which presses the piston in the opposite direction, turning, the gear sends a lever to move the structure of the door, closing the door;

3.With a slide bar. This is not the most successful version of the design, in which there is no shoulder to transmit great force, which leads to a not very reliable operation of the mechanism;

4. camshaft. The cam, which has the appearance of a symmetrical or asymmetrical heart, also serves as an axis. hen the door is opened, the element evenly compresses the spring with the opening piston. When closed, the spring opens, the opening piston moves in the opposite direction, returning the cam to its original position, the door slows down with the brake piston.

Automatic door opener Located on the floor. The installation of the closer of this type must be considered during the construction phase. The weight of the door supports the lower axis, which moves in the direction of another axis of rotation.

The closer design is used for doors weighing up to 300 kilograms.

RAMS This design is integrated into the door frame or frame, and its operating principle is the same as that of floor closures. In this case, the door weighs on the support, which is integrated into the floor. The rotation from the axis of the door closure is transmitted to the door leaf through a lever incorporated in the door from above. When the door is opened with a lever, the heart-shaped shaft rotates. Depending on the direction when opening the door, it begins to exert pressure on one of the rollers, which compresses the two springs. When you close the door, the whole process goes in the opposite direction.
